London Archaeological Prize 2010

The Rose and the Globe – playhouses of Shakespeare's Bankside, Southwark: excavations 1988–91 by Julian Bowsher and Pat Miller has won the bi-annual London Archaeological Prize 2010 for the best publication about London's archaeology in the last two years.

The award was presented to Julian and Pat last night by Clive Orton, editor of the London Archaeologist, at the London Archaeology Forum hosted by CBA London at the Museum of London.

The Rose and the Globe has also been nominated for the Current Archaeology Book of the Year 2011 (leaves current site).
