Current Archaeology Book of the Year 2011
The Rose and the Globe – playhouses of Shakespeare's Bankside, Southwark: excavations 1988–91 by Julian Bowsher and Pat Miller has won the Current Archaeology Book of the Year 2011 (external link) award. The award is voted for by Current Archaeology readers. The awards ceremony took place on 26 February 2011 at the British Museum as part of the Current Archaeology Live 2011 conference.
