Publications News

Museum of London Archaeology books took both top prize and runner-up in the 2008 London Archaeological Prize for publications. The winning title was 'From Ice Age to Essex'.

Buildings Archaeology

Museum of London Archaeology historic buildings team interprets and records historic buildings, landscapes and gardens - from palaces to pylons.

One of their recent projects involved recording the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, pictured above, prior to the construction of a new auditorium.

London Archaeological Archive and Research Centre

The London Archaeological Archive and Research Centre (LAARC) recently started a new volunteer inclusion project, which aims to create extra shelf space for future archives through efficient packaging. 

A total of 50 volunteers will join the LAARC team over two ten-week programs. They'll get the chance to handle real archaeology whilst developing their own skills via specialist-run workshops.
