MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) runs a wide range of archaeological events throughout the year, including lunchtime and evening talks, finds handling sessions, guided site visits and community digs. We also have a limited number of volunteering opportunities and work placements.
MOLA is delighted to host the Thames Discovery Programme, with its important continuing archaeological survey and recording work on the Thames foreshore.
Information on our upcoming events, including opportunities to visit archaeological sites, is posted in our News & Projects section.
We aim to run a community and training excavation at least once a year. We are planning for 2012 now and details will be announced in the New Year.
If you are interested in volunteering or taking part in a work-placement, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition, there are a number of other archaeological events organised in London each year such as the Festival of British Archaeology, seminars, courses and guided foreshore walks.
