Lucy joined the Museum of London (DUA) as a Senior Archaeologist (pottery research) in 1989. After a period of working freelance, she joined MoLAS in 1999 with 19 years experience as a medieval pottery specialist and an extensive publication record. In December 2007 Lucy was appointed to the MOLA Post–Excavation Team where her role includes the design and management of a  portfolio of current and backlog projects to meet clients' requirements.

Lucy has responsibility for the costing and formulation of post-excavation projects, collating a team with the assistance of operations managers, and for the management and delivery of quality post-excavation work. With responsibility also for continuing business development, this is a key role in underpinning MOLA’s reputation as a leading commercial archaeological organisation.

Lucy’s current major post-excavation projects include overseeing the publication of a large Roman site on Walbrook, two medieval waterfront developments, a monastic site close to the Tower of London, and several post-medieval cemeteries in Southwark and Westminster, as well as numerous smaller projects from within the City and Southwark.
