Julian is now a Post-Excavation Project Manager, managing the delivery of complex assessment and publication projects for MOLA's field projects. Julian has worked in archaeology in London since April 1982, when he first joined the Museum of London Department of Urban Archaeology. With the exception of the period July 1983 - August 1984, when he completed a post-graduate qualification at University College London,
Julian has worked for the Museum ever since. He is now one of the most experienced fieldwork directors within MOLA. His experience ranges from the Dominican Friary at Blackfriars to the presumed Roman Governor's Palace and complex Roman archaeology at No 1 Poultry. Julian has also worked abroad, in Italy (Ferrara) and in Israel (Caesaria Maritima).
