Gary runs a team of five staff managing MOLA’s day-to-day finances and overseeing financial and budgetary control of projects. He is also part of MOLA’s Senior Management Group, helping to formulate medium and long term business strategy.
Gary is a seasoned finance professional who has worked as a Finance Director in brand-leading businesses across design services, media and technology. He joined MOLA in November 2008 from Foster and Partners, where as Finance Director and Partner, he led a finance team of 25 in developing the project-costing systems and reporting necessary to maintain tight controls through a period of rapid international growth. In two and a half years, the business trebled its billings and doubled staff numbers to over a thousand.
As Finance Director for US multimedia business Katz International, Gary developed a strategy to refocus the business direction and implemented the systems to make it effective before selling to Clearchannel. Gary’s interest in developing business systems originated at MIPS Computers, who led the open-systems technology and initiative which created the non-proprietary IT infrastructure that is prevalent today.
